Where to begin with this space? There’s a lot of great elements here, but really is there anything better than that rug? The color, the patterns, the boho feel. It’s eclectic best.
Up.
I love traveling for work the most when I can fly in and out of a city on the same day and only need a really good tote or satchel to carry my folio, gossip rags, pens and snacks. Plus snapping a few pictures of fellow travelers makes it all the better. And yup, that’s me in the late afternoon, wrinkled, tired after being up since 4am and broad shouldered.
Here’s a sampling of the songs I listened to during the hour-long flight to Boise.
Style spying on a jet-setting lad and lass (who I spotted on a trip a month or so ago to Denver.)
Obsessed ►Tortoise Shell Finds

Anything tortoise shell has become my obsession. I think because it’s a print that works so well year-round, regardless of what the tortoise shade or tortoise color. Here’s a few picks I have my eye on. I actually have a flight tomorrow and I’m thinking those ear buds could really come in handy right about now. Do you fancy any of these finds?
How Can You Not Love This
She Does Ethnic Rockabilly So Well
Boxing Kitten’s Fall 2012 Collection lookbook is here and Maya Lake has dressed us in cool shades of blues paired with small doses of warm orange all wrapped in that “ethnic rockabilly” style she does so well. My friends, this is proof that African print is not a trend, it’s a lifestyle. You like?

We’re Guests at Fashion Dolls Noir
Confession time… When it comes to blog friends and connecting with creatives, there’s nothing better than email. It’s true that our inboxes can get full very quickly, but somewhere between the notification that your phone bill is due and the real life friend who sends you an email instead of picking up the phone, is one from a fellow blogger who reaches out to ask you to participate in her blog. So you know I was grinning ear to ear when Jenna from Fashion Dolls Noir sent me an email to guest post today. I won’t say too much about it, but it’s fashionable (just in case you couldn’t figure that out already), with a dallop of color and a healthy serving of interior design. So if you can spare a few minutes go on over and tell Jenna I said, “Hi!”
Trust Your Photographer
I’m here to continue to sing the praises of Pinterest, where I have discovered so many new artists, blogs and individuals who continue to express their creativity in various forms and mediums, including fashion photographer Glenford Nunez. Based in Baltimore, many seek out Glenford’s expertise for portfolios and photography classes (I so wish I lived in Baltimore right now!). Here are a few images from his Coiffure Project, which features natural hair. Enjoy.
