RecentlyVlisco came out with its newest fabric collection entitled Delicate Shades, which features bold African prints and colors (always a YES in my book!). And through the addicting Pinterest I discovered an artist by the name of Sabine Pieper who has created these fabulous illustrations that serve as examples of the fashionable possibilities of these fabrics. I am completely torn between whether it’s the art or the fabric (which is art, as well) that is the most eye-catching. Then again, why should we have to choose. Are you feeling these pieces?

Don’t let the burnt crust fool ya! That french toast was the best. So here’s what happened… There’s nothing better than breakfast for lunch, so yesterday I pulled out two slices of raisin bread, threw them on the heated pan, then started checking Instagram and Twitter and Pinterest on my iPhone. Slowly, but surely, the aroma began to fill my apartment. But see, this is the one thing I’ve learned about toasting bread this way: by the time the aroma wafts your way, it’s close to burned. Thus the crispy crust, which I devoured anyway after I cut them up, kid-style (they taste the best that way). So here’s a little French toast to go along with some stylish and humorous links I’ve dubbed the Eclectic Index.

Everyone can snap a picture but not everyone can truly capture the spirit and beauty of a person, place or thing. I admire photographers who get it right and can express their style through their lens. Delphine Diaw Diallo is one such photographer and is truly an artist. I had a hard time deciding which collection to share with you all, but decided on this one because it’s how I found out about her. With that said, please visit her site to find even more incredible images.
