You know how I can tell spring is here and that summer is just around the corner? From Pinterest to Tumblr I’ve been spotting the leafy Martinique pattern everywhere. I must admit that I have not always been a fan, but after a visit to Mandalay Bay last November where I spotted the Martinique wallpaper, I’ve been hooked. What do you think about this pattern… yay or nay?
I’ve always like it. It reminds me of an island hotel. This is definitely a throwback pattern!!
This wallpaper pattern looks stunning in the context of this space, complimented by the parquet floor and gold furnishings. It’s elaborate, but that’s what makes it work so well. Nature at it’s best!
You’re right… It being so elaborate is what makes it work. It’s a BIG statement.

I could do the pillows, but I’m too much of a chicken to consider the wall covering. The pattern seems to come back around every 25-30 years!
I’d pick the pillows, too. That way I could switch them out whenever the pattern gets to be too much.
