Pinning Like a Mad Woman

Ah yes, the social networking site of the moment is Pinterest and I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again… I’m completely hooked on collecting my favorite images for both future reference and to get the scoop on artists, fellow bloggers and creatives that I may not have met otherwise.

Recently I pared down my collection to 21 boards to force myself to be more picky with my pins and only keep those images that truly inspire me.   Believe it or not, this was a challenge because when it comes to inspiration I tend to be a hoarder.  I’ve even limited my likes page, choosing to use it as a holding area for images I’m not sure I want to add to a board.

On a side note, I’ve made a vow to myself to stop pinning, tumbling or posting images of Solange Knowles.  It’s absolutely nothing against her, but I liken it to hearing a new song and being super excited about it, and then radio plays it death and you just swear if you hear that song one more time you will have a conniption.  Well, that sums up my feelings on images of Solange at the moment.  I admire her style evolution and she is super smart to take every opportunity that comes her way, but like that song that the radio played out, I’ll appreciate her style all the more if I put some distance between us.  Does that make sense?  So are you on Pinterest?  If you’ve been pinning, let us know your handle so we can check out your pins.
