“Count is all joy” is one of my favorite biblical quotes (James 1:2) because it’s so not in my nature to think on the bright side or to think of the glass as half-full. You’ve read Aesop’s fable of The Tortoise and the Hare, right? Well, I’ve always been the tortoise; things just seem to take a long time to happen in my life and I have to motivate myself daily to continue. And of course, that is easier said than done. While a lot of great opportunities are happening in my life right now, I count the good, the bad, the waiting, and the persevering, as JOY! I have to, or I’ll never enjoy this journey I’m on. Do you have a verse that motivates you to keep going? In your own personal journey, are you the tortoise or the hare, or some kind of cute animal in between?
Good bit of inspiration, A! I feel the same way. I keep telling self, “It’s the ‘getting there’.” that matters most.
