I’ve been living in Oakland, CA for over a year now and every time I’m out driving and reach the  intersection of Adeline Street and San Pablo Avenue I can’t help but stare at this mural (driving safely, no rubber necking, I promise!).   Well, after a little investigative Googling I discovered the artist is Aaron De La Cruz AND there’s an excellent video on Vimeo of him painting it.  Take a look (and enjoy the soundtrack too!).  Be sure to go to the video’s page to see his other piece in Los Angeles.
