Casual glam, anyone? Like me, you probably have the black top and skinny jeans that go into such a look, which Ashley Madekwe (aka Ring My Bell and a little show called Revenge) pulls off so well, but in case you don’t have the rest here’s a few potential finds. The kicker? The handbag costs the most. But then again, a chic crossbody pocketbook (I don’t use that word often enough) is an investment and can be worn multiple seasons. Get your wallets ready.

Marooned Confession
Confession: Nothing irritates me more than discovering a love of something that I’ve previously been indifferent towards. It makes me feel like I’ve been too judgmental, immature, and lacking in style or taste. It happened when I discovered my love of avocados after hating them throughout a childhood of never actually eating them, and it’s even worse when it happens with people. We all have someone who we’ve met years ago and couldn’t stand, and then later reconnect with them, whether by choice or circumstance, and discovered that we were completely wrong about them and have truly missed out. I hate when that happens. And it’s happening again with the color maroon. I’ve always been partial to grays and purples, but maroon is definitely the color for this fall. Maroon, I’m so sorry I never gave you your just due. It’s such a rich addition to any wardrobe or interior styling. My only saving grace is that I’m a fan of Maroon 5. Right? That Adam Levine and his high voice are it.
The Anti-It Bag
Have you heard of Thursday Friday Handbags?! I consider myself to be a person in the know and write this post completely appalled that I had not made myself acquainted with this brand before. So here’s the deal… Thursday Friday takes those high-end designer originals which force the working girl to exist on a ramen budget, and paints images of said bags onto durable canvas totes. And now they’ve partnered with Refinery 29 for this limited edition Balenciaga Moto-inspired collection.
On a side note: If you think about it, as these Anti-It bags grow in popularity, they become everything they stand against. Just sayin’.
